Brian Samson

Brian was born in Sydney and studied at the University of NSW where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1986. In 1987 he qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). In 1988 he received the Queen’s Commission as an officer in the Australian Army Reserve (then known as the Citizen’s Military Force) where he met his wife Vanessa, also a commissioned officer. Brian and Vanessa have two daughters and live in St Ives, where Brian is the Team Leader for the local Community Fire Unit, reporting to NSW Fire & Rescue.

Brian was initiated into Masonry in 2001 and is a Past District Grand Inspector of Workings, a Very Worthy Brother in the Order of Secret Monitors and a 33rd degree Mason in the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite for Australia. He is Chair of the Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai Masonic Association (the charity arm of District 23), and Chair of the North Shore Masonic Centres Pty Ltd.

Damien Ackland

Damien is a qualified Plumber who has worked in the plumbing Industry for over 20 years.

Damien has been involved in Freemasonry since 2015 and is currently the  Worshipful Master of Lodge Wahroonga. 

He is an active member of the Kuringai Stealers Baseball and Softball Club, where, for the past five years he has coached Junior Division Baseball. He also competes in Seniors and Masters League competitions.

John Ringrose

John has practised as a barrister for 51 years and for 15 years has been an appointed member of a NSW Tribunal. He has been a nationally accredited Mediator for more than 18 years and whilst practising at the NSW Bar has been an appointed adjudicator for the Supreme Court and District Courts.

John has lived in his local area for 45 years being a past president of his local Rotary Club and a current member of his local Rural Fire Service where he has held several officer’s roles including Brigade Captain.

John has been a Freemason for 41 years and has served as Worshipful Master of his lodge for a total of 3 years in that time.

John and his wife Meg have a blended family of 6 children and 11 grandchildren.

Robert Chapman

Rob brings over 30 years’ experience in small business enterprises, across four industries, and a keen desire to help the world be a better place. His first charitable enterprise was at age 13 when he sold confectionary to assist the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, later becoming involved with various church organisations. 

Further volunteer roles included area representative for Global Care in Gympie Queensland.

Father of four nearly adult children, the youngest having additional life hurdles, Robert has firsthand knowledge of the pressures faced by so many families and the distinct shortfall of substantial assistance.
